last minute presents

A set of bulk food bags for a couple of friends who missed out last year. These are a hit at the local Wholefoods shop and give food shopping a touch of pretty.

We have gone with easy and simple as our guide for gifts again this year. In making and giving these gifts, the girls absorb an appreciation of simple acts of love and kindness.
These treasure bags were whipped up by the girls a few days ago as a token of their love. Nothing could be easier - a circle cut with pinking shears, a running stitch around the top stopped with beads and filled with 'treasures.'
And a dear friend from the north brought us some sheets of beeswax which we have been able to enjoy making into candles for friends.

  1. Ah, what pretty bulk food bags. The ones I made are very plain (unbleached plain cotton) but now I've seen yours I think I'll need to try making some more from my fabric stash.
