We have been having a very mild August but last week we had a wintery blast.
More rain and cold temperatures.
Lots of time inside a wee house.
Perfect conditions for low-level grumpiness and/or unfounded worrisome thoughts to pervade.
I remember the same symptoms at the end of winter last year.
It's always helpful to notice a pattern and it's kind of reassuring to feel the seasonal shift press in on our daily lives.
This year we have a plan:
1. Walk whenever possible.
2. Plant seeds, not just the horticultural kind, by making something every day.
Small, big, on-going, it doesn't really matter as long as the hands are involved.
3. Spring is almost upon us.
Move out of the planning phase and into making a start.
It's a lot more exciting that way.
